TELEMARKETERS BLUES [Jul. 23rd, 2005|03:15 pm]
poems2remember

scorpiocto27
I use to write about sunshiny skies
About pretty lakes and sweet butterflies

I use to write about laughing with friends
About silly moments and funky trends

I use to write about hearts intertwined
About warm embraces and kisses like wine

Now I call people and plead for their pledge
Make them go nuts and fall over the edge
I think they would rather jump from a ledge
~I now telemarket all day

I use to dream one day I’d sail on seas
Looking for gold with my pool boy from Greece

I use to dream one day I’d fly in the skies
To old ancient places and sit with the wise

I use to dream one day I’d write in my book
About the adventurous life that I took

But rather I call and plead for a pledge
Make people go nuts, fall over the edge
I think they would rather jump from a ledge
~I now telemarket all day
